$20 for Wasabi Power would mean 1300 for 2 batteries and chargers - that would have been too good to leave. Decided to go with original as I was skeptical for the safety of my camera from this Chinese battery and with no assurance of battery life. 1900 for a battery (called Pico battery) with retailer warranty of 6 months - no company service center here. The best I got was for Rs.1900 while original costed 3200. On the subject matter, I was not able to find much cheaper alternative battery in my local market.
So my pics are limited to the crackers that I was able to catch from my terrace. Don't keep your hopes too high

I did not light any crackers this year so as to make my contribution to pollution-free Diwali. I am going to ask a Hindu gentleman I see walking about our village about any local celebration. Our nation is made up of people from everywhere on the planet and many people bring and share their customs. I am not aware of any such celebration in the U.S.A. I viewed some on-line and was impressed with the beautiful colors and lights. Please post your pictures of it when you get a chance.
